If only Hitler got into art school. If only someone offered Castro a baseball contract. If only African-Americans voted for George W. Bush.
Robert Draper, author of the new, authorized Bush bio visited "Real Time with Bill Maher," and the host paraphrased a rather telling anecdote from the book:
After he won the Texas governorship, and he said to an aide, the blacks didn't come out for me like the Hispanics did, so they're not going to see much help from me.
George W. Bush: "The blacks didn't come out for me like the Hispanics did, so they're not going to see much help from me."

Wow. Even ignoring the obvious and even refusing to call Bush out as a racist, who says stuff like that?

That is an amazing statement, and I'm shocked I didn't hear about this before. Why is it that we're only getting wind of this in 2007 and not before the elections? I think it gives us an excellent view into the mind of this president, showing us how he thinks, and how little he cares about the people that don't completely agree with him.

I am shocked that George Bush would ever say anything that ridiculous.
I am shocked...that pigs to this very day cannot fly.

Well, nobody has ever accused BUSH of being anything other than literal.
