Leaked video: Glenn Beck "uses Vicks to cry on cue"

advertisement

A video posted to YouTube a few weeks ago making the rounds across the internet apparently shows Fox News Channel host Glenn Beck having Vicks applied under his eyes in order to cry on cue for a photo shoot.

One blog, Sensico, mocks, "This is only shocking video to those that love Glenn Beck and think he cries non-stop because he 'loves this country.'"

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Eh - much ado about nothing if you ask me. Half of the country already knows Beck is a fake and the other half will say that it doesn't matter because it's not like this is footage of him doing this for his show, just a photo-shoot.

I thought his comment about his "eyes are getting used to it" were interesting. Why would his eyes be getting used to it if he didn't do it frequently?

He should use a hemorrhoid cream or medication for his lips and eyes, and nostrils. Put it on heavy Becky.

Why would his eyes be getting used to it if he didn't do it frequently?

multiple takes? multiple photo shoots of him crying?

if he did it on his show, don't you think there would be a video? the tears would last a lot longer as well as he would have to wipe it off to stop the effect.

this is such a ridiculous story.

much ado about nothing yet you seeded it (like the two other people to do the same thing)

it was for a photo shoot. there is no proof that he does this on his show. tear sticks are used in the photo industry all the time.

really killfile, i thought you were above this type of "story" the article even says there is NO proof that he does this on his show...

such a baseless attack. i mean there are real reason to disagree with the man and you all have to stoop to this level of making crap up (the same thing beck is accused of)

the "story" makes you no better than the man you decry.

I love how a video of Beck using Vicks to fake his crying is a "baseless attack". What wouldn’t be “baseless”… an affidavit signed by Beck admitting that he fakes crying on TV? As though that would ever happen, even if it was true. It is what it is, regardless what the reason is. It at least displays what he's capable of.

And don't you think it's a little odd that he commented that his "eyes must be getting used to it", which was why he opened them up to get the fumes in them? If this was only the beginning of a single photo shoot, why would his eyes be used to it?

how do you know it was the beginning? its a 3 minute video.

it's baseless because he is using a tear stick for a photo shoot, NOT FOR HIS SHOW.

what would not be baselsss would be a video of him doing it on his show. if he did it on his show do you not think there would be a video of proof from his show? it's not like he cries right when the camera gets on him, its usually during a rant and then the crying stops when he is done. when would he apply the tear stick and don't you think that would have gotten out by now? if he were using a tear stick, the tears would not end so quickly.

it's just so stupid that video of a photo shoot where using tear stick is a perfectly legit thing to do is being blown up to mean that he does it on his show. plenty of real reasons to not like beck but now you have to resort to taking huge leaps of logic to attack the man. it just diminishes your argument against the man when you have to make stuff up.

        Way to prove the point.
