Mike Huckabee's chance to be president of the United States could be going up in smoke this week.
The former Arkansas governor and Republican presidential wannabe is at the center of a story involving a "person of interest" in the shooting deaths Sunday of four police officers in the state of Washington.
Huckabee as governor pardoned the man -- Maurice Clemmons -- in 2000.
Since then, Clemmons has been involved in a number of legal problems. In fact, Clemmons is out on bail and faces pending charges of second-degree child rape and third-degree assault for an attack on a police officer.
Huckabee didn't pardon him, he commuted the sentence to 47 years from over 100. Our "liberal court system" took over from there and eventually paroled Clemmons, which they shouldn't have done.
