MItt Romney is proposing large tax cuts that would disproportionately benefit those with very high incomes. But he has also claimed that he would offset these cuts by broadening the tax base — eliminating deductions and loopholes — and furthermore would do so in a way that preserves the progressivity of the tax system. Yet he has refused to name a single loophole he would close.
